About WolseleyGirl Design

WolseleyGirl is Lynne Scott, formerly of Optical Resolution. Lynne brings extensive training in arts and design, as well as over 10 years of web design experience and an impeccable reputation as an ethical business person to the helm of WolseleyGirl Design. She is one half of the character in our motto.

While with Optical Resolution, Lynne served as a moderator for Get High (traffic) Forums (part of Virtual Promote, or JimWorld), and SearchKing webmaster communities. She has written a multitude of articles on web and graphics design, webmaster issues, industry software, design and colour theory, and served as editor for the Portal Partner Press. As webmaster of the Graphic Design Portal she was approached by software designers to review their products. Colleges and universities approached her about advertising their design programs on her websites.

Ms Scott has designed and developed over 20 niche portals, varying from small and personal, to large geographical or demographically oriented sites.

A former teacher, committed to life long learning, and continually upgrading her skills, Lynne is currently preparing to write the Adobe Certified Photoshop Expert exam, and looks forward to being able to offer that service to WolseleyGirl's customers.

In addition to Ms Scott's formidable talents, WolseleyGirl maintains contract relationships with top notch web and graphic designers, programmers, and promotion experts. We also invite interns from local design programs to participate in our office. The other half of the character in our motto? That's the neighbourhood in which we're located. Wolseley, Winnipeg is a small Victorian neighbourhood inhabited by a wide variety of artists, musicians, performers, environmentalists, new age professionals, and generally concerned, outspoken citizens. Wolseley has many resident characters. It also has hundreds of beautiful Victorian houses, or character homes, in various states of repair. Both in citizenry and surrounds, the neighbourhood has character!
